In the latest wave of food-related lawsuits, a customer has filed a lawsuit alleging she was deceived by Canada Dry. She claims their ginger soda only contains ginger flavor extract and not ginger root. When lawyers try to game the system with a junk lawsuit, hoping for a quick payday, employers have to spend money defending themselves. The cost of this defense has to be recovered somewhere, whether it be through cutting jobs or higher consumer prices. Ultimately, the costs of these junk lawsuits are passed on to us all.  We all pay and we all lose when it comes to lawsuit abuse.
