State Representative Andy Murr (R-Junction) answered the call and responded to a jury service summons this week. Posting a photograph of his summons to his Facebook page, Rep. Murr stated “Headed to the courthouse to report for jury duty today. Always appreciate folks taking time out of their busy lives to perform this important task.” Jury service is a vital component to our justice system in America. Too often summons are ignored. Last year, TALA released an in-depth study on low jury service response rates across the state and a call to action for citizens to answer the call.
