A new study out by NERA Economic Consultants shows that legal liability costs in the United States are the highest in the world, and are more than twice the average of Eurozone countries. The study shows that the main drivers behind the extraordinarily high liability costs are the number of U.S. lawyers, and the common-law-system that the U.S. employs.
